CONTEMPORARY CULTURE

Baschet Sound Structures may be visually-pleasing, unusual sculptures but the driving force behind their creation as “sculpting” new sounds. As such, theses structures – avant-garde even today – stand at the crossroads of visual arts, sound arts and music, as well as education.

As such, it is a living work which has been constantly rediscovered and reinterpreted by composers, sound designers, choreographers, film-makers, musicians and other artists.

The Baschet Sound Structures Association works with a broad range of artists to stimulate contemporary creation with the Baschet Sound Structures.

These include the Baschet Cristal, the Turning Whistler, the Voice Leaf and the Percussions, as well as the Baschet Educational Instrumentarium.
